The entrance to the venue was well decorated and painted with quotes and Autographs by various Established Authors. Though the Rain Gods did play a spoilsport for a good period of time, fortunately, it did not disappoint the Store managers and Book fair stakeholders as there was a huge crowd who battled the drizzle to buy the Books they love. The Honourable Chief Minister addressed the crowd with a short speech. He acknowledged the love for knowledge and readability that managed to pull a huge crowd of customers despite of the Rain.

As Day 1 of the ‘22nd Paradise Book Fair ‘ folded up, a total of 15,789 books were sold worth 12,42,333 INR in total with total footfalls ranging somewhere between 5000-10000 people. ‘These numbers are never seen before and are unbelievable’ – a shopkeeper was quoted saying. With six more days left for the Book fair to conclude, the business, numbers will be stagnant. More importantly, the love for books is a secret gateway to heaven and thus promises a knowledgeable and bright future for the country and the State which we all hope, shall never die among the readers, admirers, and future generations.
