As per the Noise Pollution, Regulation, and control law of the Indian judiciary, any kind of use of loudspeakers and loud noises which cause trouble for the residents after 10 p.m at night is a punishable offense. Despite of this being a law, there has been intense use of loudspeakers at DJ gatherings, wedding processions and Political Speeches at our locality after the threshold of 10 p.m is crossed too.
This has made lives miserable for the residents with heart and hearing ailments, infants, and elderly aged people. Adding to these miseries are the workers of the road which is being made but at the expense of sleep and peace of the residents as these workers seem to have no hesitation about working at odd hours of the night. As the Board exams are approaching, the students are facing a major hindrance due to these awful noises throughout the day.
I hereby urge u and ur office to quickly take account of these misconducts taking place at our locality as the residents of Krishnagar are having a risk of serious health ailments that can be caused by such Noise Pollution.
