Many serious diseases can be cured  by right breathing techniques.  It’s benefits are now acknowledged by all over the world . Write a speech in 120- 150 words on the ” importance of Yoga for students ” to be delivered in the morning assembly of your school. You are kanta / kamal. (10th CBSE 2013)

Importance Of Yoga

A very warm good morning to our esteemed Principal sir, respected teachers and my dear friends. Today, I kanta/ kamal of class 10th standing before you to throw some light on the topic “the importance of Yoga for students “.

Yoga, originated in ancient India, is a spiritual, mental, and physical practice. In other words, it’s a mind and body practice. There are various styles, physical postures, or Asanas involved in Yoga which also combine breathing techniques(Pranayama), meditation or relaxation. 

Yoga , which is a very effective art of living can be a life-changing practice for students. This is because Yoga amalgamates the physical,  mental and spiritual aspects of an individual. Sincere students always try to have a good grip over academics and along with it they engage themselves in various extra curriculum. To balance out everything without getting exhausted, students need to have a healthy body and a sound mind. And, thus the importance of Yoga kicks in right here. Students who practice Yoga daily, see a very powerful and positive impact in their health and academic life. Their lifestyle grades up to another level.

So, every parent needs to encourage their children to practice Yoga from an early stage of their life so that they get habituated to it and Yoga becomes an indispensable part of their life.Let’s talk about some more significant Roles of Yoga in the life of a student.

1. Improves concentration- There is no better way to score well in exams than improving the concentration power. And yoga definitely helps to achieve that. 

2. Reduces stress – when a student focuses on performing various yoga poses, he tends to forget all the problems coming across his career path. And, channelizes all his energy in a right direction. This helps the student to get over all the trauma in life and makes him feel really good about himself. 

3. Improves flexibility – Yoga makes both body and mind flexible. Different type of postures enhances the body’s flexibility at the same time the mind becomes flexible, while performing, Asanas a change in thoughs take place. 

4 . Several Physical benefits- Yoga offers a lot of health benefits to students such as maintaining blood circulation,  blood pressure, pulse rate, and breathing rate. Helps in preventing cardio and gastrointestinal problems. 

Therefore,  Yoga is a wonderful habit to inculcate. The students who make Yoga a habit, lead a very healthy and successful life. And,  with this I want to conclude my speech.Thank you.
