Ayushman Bhattacharjee (Staff Reporter, Jharkhand Josh)

Ranchi, November 15: “Magnificent”, “Jaw-dropping”, “Splendid “, ” Imposing ” and “Impressive”, would be the apt words to review the Grand ‘Children’s Day‘ celebration, that transpired at the Jharkhand Public School. On the day of November 14, 2022, Children’s day was celebrated across the country and the state of Jharkhand with great hue and pompousness. It was on this day that our Former Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru was born and since several glorious decades, the date of “November 14” is observed as a children’s Day, as the Prime Minister was very fond of kids, and young souls.

The celebration was taken to another level altogether, as the Jharkhand Public School made sure that the young minds could enjoy their hearts out on a day specially dedicated to all of them. The event took place at the School Ground with a massive stage set, right in the middle of the ‘maidaan’.The programme was heavily marketed by the school through social media campaigns and advertisement hoardings since a month, hence, it created a huge hype among the masses and especially the ‘targeted audience’, the Children.

With the grand celebration was scheduled to commence from the morning at 10A.M (I.S.T), a huge crowd had already gathered outside the school premises since 8-9 A.M in the morning. It was open for all event with free entry for pupils below 12 years of age. The event began with a stupendous D.J show which lasted for mere 10 minutes but didn’t fail to enthrall the audience who had gathered at huge numbers. This was followed by a short but impactful speech by the school Principal, who addressed everyone gathered at the ground and nourished the young minds with his words. The speech was then followed by a Grand Performance by the top Teachers of the state, who came together and performed in front of a crowd full of students who were hooting and cheering and were overjoyed, seeing their favourite teachers, Singing and dancing.

The celebration went a notch higher as a troop of female teachers across the state, numbering 40, performed a Greatly choreographed ‘Bharatnatyam‘ dance which represented solidarity and Strength of the Young and brilliant minds. But the biggest surprise of the day was yet to come and the children, teenagers, and even the adults gathered there didn’t have a hint of what they were going to see.

Suddenly, the Principal took the centre stage and announced the arrival of Former Indian Cricket Captain and fan favourite, Mahendra Singh Dhoni into the school premises. Within no time the crowd went berserk and chants of ‘Dhoni, Dhoni’ grew louder and louder. The Cricketer humbly addressed all the children present in the crowd and inspired them to be better humans and be the best version of what they could offer the world. In the end, the children could be seen smiling as they were leaving the school after the event got over. The innocent, twinkling eyes and laughter full of life, was evidence to the fact that the programme organised by the Jharkhand Public school was a huge success and one to remember.
