Water is a very necessary thing for all kinds of living beings. A normal human being requires a sufficient amount of water for daily uses like drinking, cooking, washing, etc. Sometimes, proper water is not supplied in several localities, for which, the inhabitants face a lot of issues. In Inviting reference to the subject cited above, I would like to draw your attention towards the inadequate water supply at our locality, Dimapur.
On June 20, 2022, the residents of Dimapur were made aware of the shortened duration of water supply from 1 hour in the morning and evening to 30 minutes subsequently. But since June 27, 2022 till this day, the residents noticed that the duration of the water supply has been reduced further to a mere 10 minutes each, on both mornings and evenings.
This inadequate water supply is nothing less than a torment for the People in our locality since water is the basic need for existence and other chores. Dimapur is a house to over 600 families and thus 15 minutes of water supply in a day is not at all justified.
Considering the fact that there are 4 colonies of ‘Chawls’ here in Dimapur which house to 100-200 families and thus collecting water from the Supply Filter near their colonies in that time span of 15 minutes is nothing short of fatal misconduct as there’s often reports of Fights over water between the people standing in queue.
I hereby request you and your office to please take urgent notice of this matter and understand the heinous situation of the people in this locality and take immediate action.

I would like to draw your kind attention towards the miserable condition at Dimapur caused due to the inadequate water supply.
Housing over 500 families and 2 manufacturing factories, Dimapur is facing a major water supply crisis as the Supply duration of water was reduced from 1 hour each in the mornings and evenings to 30 minutes each, subsequently. But since the morning of July 22, 2022, the residents of Dimapur have noticed that the Water supply duration has further reduced to 15 minutes each in the mornings and evenings.
This has caused huge disarray among the residents as 15 minutes of water supply cannot fulfill the needs of the families, and factories residing here. Each household on an average day requires water for washing clothes, utensils, cleaning purposes, bathing and above all Drinking. 15 minutes of water supply is far from matching even the basic of these needs.
With the Factories requiring gallons of water every day and to meet these needs hoard 7 out of the 12 water filters meant for the locals who do not have a water supply at their ‘Chawls’ seem clueless as they remain stranded at the long queue for water. The last 10 days have been nothing but horrible as the need for adequate water supply has not been matched and is far from what is required by the residents of Dimapur.
I hereby request you to take notice of the horrendous situation and take immediate action against this insufficient water supply problem as the locals here seem to suffer a lot.
